
Running clubs aren’t just for the very speedy, or experienced athletes – Newent Runners welcome people of all abilities. If you would like to start running but aren’t sure how, one of our 0-5k courses is an ideal place to start.
We’ve successfully run a number of 0-5k courses, with attendees varying from those that have never run, to some that used to run but haven’t in years.
We’re gathering interest to see if it’s worth running the course this year. If you think you might like to take part (no committment at this stage!) then please fill in the form at the bottom of the page. There would be a small charge of £10 for the course, which would run for 10 weeks on Wednesday evenings.

Many of our “graduates” have stayed with the club, some now enjoy regular social runs and parkruns, some others have done events, half marathons and even ultra-marathons!
This course starts from the very beginning, with no running or athletic experience required at all. There is some homework to be done, but you can fit this in as suits you. You’ll be given a warm welcome by our experienced run leaders and mentors.
