Thirteen Newent Runners took part in the Rogue Run Beechenhurst Night Race on Thursday February 18, a tough muddy 5-6 mile race.
James Griffiths was first member home in 44:19:06 followed by Andrew Callard (4th in MV50 category) in 48:46:51. Emma Poole was first lady home, coming 2nd in the FV50 category, in 52:31:48.
Other results: Philip Rowe (MV50 9th) 51:42:45; Andy Chambers 53:17:58; Emily Burgess 1:06:01; Karen Johnson 1:06:02; Chris Barber 1:06:22; Adele Mitchell and Helen Kelly 1:25:44; Nicola Hill and Liza Barber 1:25:45; Kerry Cawkwell 1:25:46. The latter group of ladies finished together following Kelly losing both her shoes in the mud and the others having to ‘dig her out’ using a stick! True team spirit. [Note: if anyone has pictures of this we’d be most grateful!!]
