Twenty-one runners represented Newent Runners at the Tewkesbury AC Guy Fawkes 5.
Adrian Fishpool was first member home in a time of 35.49 (83rd). Chris Barber gained a PB for the distance and this was the first event for Jane Mulford and Deborah Bird.
Chris Barber was the sole representative for the club at the Gloucestershire AAA Cross Country race held at Malvern Common. It was a tough event but Barber enjoyed it and acquitted himself well.
Phil Rowe, Mark Cryer, Claire Swift and Emily Burgess represented the club at the Sodbury Slog – a tough course with plenty of mud, slurry and nettles! Mark Cryer was the first member home in a time of 1.24.04.
Four members – Phil Rowe, Megan James, Emily Burgess and Chris Barber – participated in the Rogue Run Rising Sun night race. Rowe, James and Burgess finished in a time of 1.08.49 with Chris Barber finishing just behind them.
