Andrew was first to finish, and all three managed to Beat the 4* Bore, full results are available here.

Newent Runners also went international, with David and Heather Jones running in a 10K as part of the Ladies Marathon Festival in Palma de Mallorca.  David finished in 48:52 and Heather in 1:11:58 – sadly this was David’s last race as he has to retire from running.  He said of this weekend: “It was a great end to many happy runs over the years.”  Many thanks for all you’ve done for the club over the years David, it’s greatly appreciated and I’m sure this isn’t the last we’ll see of you!

The Gloucester Citizen quoted:

David is well respected, and is held with great affection by many who have been coached by him and inspired by his enjoyment of the sport.

Adele Mitchell and Philip Rowe also ran a 5K event in Rome, to complete our international adventures!
