Four members took part in this year’s Cheltenham Challenge, a multi terrain race taking in part of the Cotswolds. In the Half Marathon distance, which reaches the highest point of the Cotswolds, Philip Rowe was first member home in 2:02:48 with Micaela Swan (first time at this distance) and Andrew Lloyd finishing together in 2:22:50. Pauline Frape, recovering from illness, finished her first competitive 10K distance in 1:16:54.
Off road aficionado Chris Barber competed in The Original Maverick Gloucestershire trail race, describing it as “lumpy and muddy” whilst thoroughly enjoying the experience, finished the middle route (17Km) in 2:12:23.
